Shipping is reasonable for me but I live on the west coast. Usually it's cheaper for me to buy in bulk from westcoastsupply then it's for me to buy from petfooddirect with the 20% coupon and I usually receive my order much faster.

Thought that I'd reply as my cats have just tried some...
They tried out EVO 95% chicken/turkey yesterday (the "dog" can) and the cat/kitten regular EVO can today. All three prefered the 95% chicken/turkey variety... It seemed a lot "jucier" than the EVO cat/kitten. Although both are "loaf" style, the 95% was less "solid" for lack of a better word. I also have the 95% venisen, beef, duck, and rabbit cans, so I'll post again and let you know what they think of those as well.

Some online stores (i.e. petfooddirect and national pet pharmacy) are not selling the cat cans, just the dog cans (why bother stocking both if the cat is the same as the dog?). At any rate, they are the same prices online as the regular cat/kitten EVO cans.

Riley loved the chicken/turkey, not so crazy about the duck. I have venison but he hasn't tried it yet, or the beef. I don't see rabbit listed on their website for the cat food.

Also, petfooddirect lists Garlic as an ingredient in the DOG chicken/turkey. It is not listed, however, on the Evo website, so I'm not sure if this is correct.

I asked them using their online form. They are not open until 9am pacific time. If I get time (will be noon here) I will try to call, so I can get an answer sooner.

ETA: The Rabbit dog formula DOES have GARLIC listed as an ingredient on the natura website. The others do not. However, it was the chicken/turkey formula that listed Garlic on the petfooddirect site, so I would hold off on feeding any of the dog formulas until we can clarify the garlic question from natura. PFD.com now has the 95% beef CAT for sale, but that is the only one so far.

Ok, I talked to someone at natura who said the cat formulas do NOT contain Garlic. Some of the dog formulas DO contain garlic, but will eventually all be changed to no garlic. So I suggest checking ingredient list on the cans before feeding any of the dog flavors to your cat to make sure it doesn't contain garlic.

The rabbit will also be available for cats in the future as well as the current flavors.

Thanks for the info...

I'm glad this was brought up, as Natura's website only lists (like you said) the rabbit dog food having garlic, however, all of the cans I have left (beef, duck, venison, and rabbit) all have garlic in them. Which makes me wonder whether or not the can of chicken/turkey I fed to them had garlic in it as well.

Is garlic something dangerous to cats? I have seen many "premium" foods that contain garlic, so if it is something that is toxic, wouldn't it be excluded from all foods?

If it is just a risk of tummy upset, I may go ahead and feed them (at least part of the cans) to see if they like the taste of the foods. However, if it is a danger, then I guess the family dog will be getting a very expensive treat.

:EDIT: I've read the old threads on here about garlic and I think that I'll take the minimal risk and let them try these cans. If, however, I decide to buy a full case of EVO, I'll contact the online retailer and make sure that those cans (that they are selling) are garlic-free because I would be feeding it as a regular part of their diet.

I couldn't find the cat version anywhere online, so I contacted Natura, and they recommended I contact I local store who purchases EVO. Through them I ordered 2 cases of EVO 95% venison, and though it was expensive, my kitties absolutely love it and I love the fact that Ares has solid poops!

I contact PFD's customer service to see if their cans of dog evo 95% meat had garlic or not. They replied to me today and said that they contacted natura and:
1. natura is discontinuing the garlic in the dog cans.
2. PFD has changed their ingredients list for the dog cans (it doesn't show garlic anymore and matches the current ingredients listed on natura's site).
3. PFD should be getting the garlic-free cans soon, but will have to sell out their current stock first (so you may still get a can with garlic if you order it from them soon).
4. PFD is planning on stocking the other cat 95% varieties soon.

Alas, they did not comment on why the cat 95% can they had in stock was $1 more than the same dog can. Oh well, good customer service though.

Thought you guys might like to know.

I also received an email from Natura that said they had removed Garlic from all cans. It may take a little bit for all the stores, etc. to sell out of current stock, so I would just check the labels before you buy the dog cans.

PFD has the cat 95% beef, and should be getting the others soon as well.

I have a can of their wet food in front of me now and it doesn't list garlic anywhere in the ingredients, and has taurine, and good concentrations of vitamins.

Or were you talking about the kibbles?

I got an email back from natura today (after asking them which cans, i.e. date or serial number wouldn't have garlic in them). They said that cans with an "09" experation date and later should be garlic-free due to the 2 years from production expiration date.

I went ahead an sent in my large food order (one of the large online sellers was having a 22% discount) and ordered the cat beef cans and the dog chicken/turkey cans...Hopefully the dog cans will be garlic free (that seller had removed gralic from the ingredients list also). We shall see. I wish that I could have waited longer to order to ensure that the dog cans would be garlic free, but with 22% off, I decided it wasn't worth the wait.
