Hi,
I have two cats Georgi -10 months and Tigger - 6 months tomorrow! they get along pretty well and everything but Tigger always steals Georgis food, with that I mean they will each have their own bowl of food, and Tigger will take a few bites out of his, then go and start eating out of Georgi's bowl and she just lets him, sometimes she goes and eats out of his bowl, then he will just go over to her and start eating out of that bowl, then she walks away and doesnt end up eating, Its like he cant be missing out on anything so he always has to make sure she isnt getting better than him. I used to be able to let her eat on a high place only she could get to, but a couple of days ago Tigger figured out how to get up there so now the only way we can feed her is by locking Tigger out of the kitchen, which is a bit of a pain,
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get him to leave her food alone?
Thanks

You can't - the only way to do it is to feed in separate rooms with the door closed till they are both done eating.

I do find that if you have one faster eater then another, you add some "gravy water" to the food so that they have to drink some and it will take longer to eat all their food.

Agree, separate them.

My 3 all have their own plates but like to eat together, they all eat off plate 1 then move to plate 2 etc.
Separating yours might be a bit of a pain, but poor Georgi needs to be able to eat.

Mosi used to do that to Jaffa but I just stood over them while they ate and if Mosi went to steal Jaffa's food I'd pick him up and put him back at his bowl, or hold on to him (esp if he'd finished his) until Jaffa had finished. Now he will still try to do it if my back's turned or I'm in another room, but if I'm in the kitchen watching them he doesn't try it because he knows I will just pick him up and remove him.
