I decided to melt some Velveeta in the microwave and I've mixed it with raspberry chipotle.
I'm dipping my tortilla chips in it and oh my, it's yummy.

I'd prefer cheddar, but the velveeta melts evenly and doesn't separate.

I bought the stuff for making rotel dip.

Cheese is often paired up with fruit, so there is nothing weird about having raspberry chipotle (whatever that is) with cheese.

However, Velveeta isn't even real cheese, is it?

Although I can't completely get behind the idea of Velveeta, the idea of melty cheese and raspberry chipoltle sounds pretty good...hmmm sweet and salty

Velveeta is cheese....barely

It's processed american cheese, but by traditional cheese making standards, no, it isn't considered real cheese.

Chipotle is roasted chipotle peppers, these peppers are hot, but much milder and more flavorful than jalapeños.
The sauce is sweet, smoky and has a tiny bit of a bite to it.

I'm trying to cut back on cheese these days -- including pseudo-cheese like Velveeta
-- but oh, I used to love to melt Velveeta and Paul Newman's Pineapple Salsa in a double-boiler and dip blue-corn tortilla chips in it... the slight sweetness of the pineapple was just perfect!
So no, I don't think you're weird!

Yos, I'm with you on this one. I can't even eat the cheese that is individually wrapped in the plastic. When you take off the plastic, even the cheese looks plastic!

Give me sliced cheese from the deli or the shredded cheese in the packages
That is real cheese - not fake.
