I was going to order Raven a tag for her collar from the Foster & Smith website but the shipping was 10 bucks for a 3 dollar tag! That seems a little ridiculos to me! So where do you get your cat tags? I just wanted one that has her name and my phone number on it. She is an indoor kitty but just in case she ever gets loose I want her to come back to me. Where I live microchipping is not really big so I would not expect anyone to check for a microchip if she ever got lost, so I do not want to go that route.
I think petco does tags, any idea what they cost? Or do you order them from your vet?
Thanks.

I ordered mine on ebay. I got a good deal, something like 4 tags for $6 (included shipping). Unfortunately I need to order more and the seller that had that deal for a long time is no longer selling tags.

That's what I did.
I used the ones at Petsmart and Superpetz (local store).
They all wear id tags and collars at all times and they're all indoors only. I had Kojak microchipped when he was neutered a few months ago, and I recently microchipped my dogs two-three weeks ago. I am going to get my other three kitties microchipped soon so that they're all chipped and registered
Tags are great- but i want a backup!

I do the same thing. It's not too expensive, and you don't have to pay shipping. We've been moving once every year for the last three years and will probably move again in the summer if the SO's parents move out and rent their house to us. (College life
) So I don't like spending a lot of money if the tags only last one year.

I didn't like the ones they had at Petsmart or Petco. All I wanted was a plain, stainless steel, round tag. Couldn't get one anywhere!

http://www.pettags.com/

They have tons of shapes, designs, and colors.

My sister and I have used this site about 10 or 11 times at least. The cost of one tag is $5.99 and 2 is $10.99, but shipping is included. They give you up to 6 lines on the front, and then for an additional $2.00 (per tag) you can have 2 lines on the back.

I put my kitties' names on their respecive tags, my (their) last name, my phone number and complete address, and then on the back I put "Reward if found".

i've actually used quite a few different companies. We've moved a lot in the 9 yrs I've had Raven and Nabu.

www.pettags.com
www.fasttags.com
www.speedypettags.com/
www.boomerangtags.com (most recently we've done this and ordered the "collar tag" that doesn't dangle)

For our latest move, I bought tags from Petsmart at $4.99 each. They are the write on them yourself kind. I like the skull and crossbones "Bad Kitty" one I picked for Stimpy. I would have gotten on for Nabu too, but there was only one left!
I also picked the black cat silhouette for Raven, and Nabu gets the fishbones design.

I ordered Riley's from boomerangtags but have since lost it! At first he was still too small and it was heavy on him and bothered him so I put it up and now can't find where I put it

I had his name, my phone numbers, and on the back said "If I'm outside, I'm lost, call my mom"

Walmart. The little engraving machine only costs a couple bucks a tag. For slightly fancier tags try www.boomerangtags.com. Especially popular for people who have light colored pets and the cheap tags can discolor the fur.
