I have to take Mario to the Vet today, he has been puking on and off...although he's acting totally normal and he's playing etc. I feel as though I don't know enough about him because he has only been here a month...and maybe he does feel bad
So better safe than sorry...Please keep him in your thoughts ... I hope and pray he's okay

I'm thinking it's just a hairball. Poor fuzzball.

Keep us posted, please?

Awww, poor Mario.
Lots of vibes coming his way. He'll be in my thoughts; hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Lots of vibes for the beautiful fluffy Mario

I'm sure he is fine Helen. Maybe he has an allergy to something new he is eating? Probably just hairballs is my guess though.

I have to give Riley hairball paste twice a week or he starts throwing up.

Thanks for your good thoughts guys!!!

The Vet said he seems fine ... besides the puking...She seems to think maybe it's a hairball...and wants me to give him hairball meds everyday for a week...if the puking continues he will have to go back of course.

Also when I brought him there a month ago he weighed 14.4 and today he weighed 13.6 so he is getting plenty of exercise with his new brothers and sisters.

I hope the hairball meds work well for him

With that long coat of his, a hairball wouldn't surprise me! I hope the meds help ASAP. Does he eat cat grass?

Those hairballs have a lot to answer for
Rosie gets them because she's quite fluffy underneath and so is Sophie, plus she grooms the other two as well.

I've always got a tube of hairball paste in, and their food is hairball controlled.

He'll be pooping it out soon you watch when you scoup, because you can tell

The cat grass really seems to help. My niece's Maine Coon had a lot of trouble with hairballs until she started keeping pots of oat grass around her apartment. Jamie eats grass when I take him outside for a walk, but we also always have a pot of cat grass for him inside. He particularly likes Cyprus grass.

I haven't had much luck with the hairball paste. He won't eat it, refuses any food I add it to, and won't lick it off if I put it on his coat. He just wails and rubs it off on the furniture or LR rug, and I get a whack for my trouble.
