Mine is the purple one.

I think that there are slight improvements with some of them - but they are all fabulous, from what I understand.

i believe the biggest difference between the dyson 7 and dyson 14 is the color. same motor and functions. just a huge difference in price. I saw an email that one person got from dyson asking the difference between different models, and from what I can remember that was the basic answer. I will look for the post I saw. You can as well email dyson. they will answer

here is the post from fatwallet. There are more differences than I remembered

Mine is red. I just have a plain Dyson because the Animal is not available here, but it really sucks.

All the 'dyson animal' models are purple.. the 'dyson all floors' are yellow

... in the uprights anyway

DC07 comes in animal and all floors.
DC14 comes in animal and all floors.
DC18 is only in all floors
DC15 & 17 only in animal.

Here's the difference between them: http://www.dyson.com/store/productca...tegory=UPRIGHT

I have the DC07 animal. Works great for me!

I meant all of the ones at the link I posted are purple, hehe

I really like the idea of the DC17, but airmiles doesn't have that one. I could wait and try and save up to buy the DC17 instead of using my airmiles but that will be months and months from now, and I really need a new vacuum and really want one with a motorized furniture tool. So given my budget right now, the DC14 looks like the best option for me at this time.

I keep checking my airmiles account for the credits, hehe. I just hope that when I do order it that they don't pull one of their stupid substitutions and send me something completely different like they did to me twice when I ordered a fan from them.

I have the DC18 - the slim model. I absolutely love it and I dont think I'll go back to a different vacuum cleaner when this one dies. We just got ours in April, and I love it. It picks up so much hair and its really lightweight and easy to move around.

The DC14 will still be a fabulous vacuum cleaner - I really can't imagine the 17 being that much better than the 14.

We have "The Ball" which I love because it's nice and easy to turn. I say go for the one you can get on your air miles.
