How can you say no!!!!!???? HELP !!!!!!

6 months ago I fell in love with the Siamese race... and adopted two.
1 month ago I feel in love with the Bengal race... and I'm trying to resist adopting one.

I've researched around, called many catteries (also shelters, sadly, none availaible - and they're quite expansive cats, we're talking 1000$ where I live).

After finally settling on a very nice lady, we talked for two hours. Sort of my way to test a person's sincerity, tack, class and professionalism. Needless to say she passed the test, and I told her I'd really thinka bout it. I Mean, 1K for a cat - how CRAZY is this??!! Then I pushed myself to realize two Siamese is enough, even if there is still plenty of room in my heart and in my cat condo

But then she sent me pictures...





















HOW DARED SHE!

Now I just HAVE to adopt her right ???

Oh I can't help you there...just looking at that sweet baby...I think I would fork over a grand too...

Wow. That's a tough one! She sure is a cutie pie.

BUT, I think I would myself back...and save myself 1K.

I'd place name at the shelters for a waiting list for a Bengal. Or adopt another type of cat if I really wanted another one.

But I look at it this way: there are so many kitties in need of homes that if I had room for another and $1,000 burning a hole in my pocket, I'd adopt a shelter kitty and donate the rest of the money to the shelter to guaranty the lives of many, many kitties

You'd feel so great about doing that! Purebred kittens will find homes easily... but there's somebody just as precious at the shelter who won't make it without you.

That is too funny! Such a beautiful kitten though! I would say, if you can afford it, then go for it! Unless, the other kitties don't do so well with newcomers. You never know...

I think if money is not an issue for you, you should go for it rather than be haunted by what ifs.

I agree with checking out the Bengal rescues around - you can get a wonderful Bengal who would need a home more and save yourself some cash!
