The Thank You thread

I have been here only a short time but I want to say thanks to everyone at TCS. From those that have responded to my (and everyone elses) questions and pictures and goofy comments. You make everyone feel like this is a place where they are welcome. And to those who one day will do the same. This is by far one of the best run sites. Mods you guys (or is everyone a gal) are superb.

I totally agree. On most forums you have to filter through so much junk to find useful information, or even friendly civilized conversation. This site is truly outstanding!!! And I love coming here where people understand why I want 5 cats!

I'll take this opportunity to also say thank-you. Thanks everyone for helping me through the bad times, and at the same time, celebrating the good. You lot are great.

I've never remained a member of any other cat forum that I've ever found, simply because they are poorly run, for the most part. There are either too many individual forums or too few, and everything seems to be targeted to people who have a "purebred" cat -- there's no room left for anybody who has moggies. Many of the members act like "snobs" on those forums in terms of those who adopt shelter cats, strays/ferals or accept a "free kitten" into their lives.

TCS has been *so* much different. Did I have a couple of people "jump down my throat" when I said I was considering breeding? Yes! But they did so in a way that I can appreciate, given that I would have done the *same* thing if somebody had come to me and said "I feel like starting to breed Caimens" (or any other reptile for that matter).

The people here are intelligent and responsible, and that's what really makes the difference in this site, in my opinion. I was welcomed here with open arms: nobody was overly harsh with me and everybody has been friendly. I haven't seen any individuals "poking fun" at other individuals.

The people here genuinely *care*, and that's what makes the difference.
