What's Her Name and What's His Name

I just received two new additions to my family. They came with names but I don't think they quite fit them. So suggestions are welcomed. So far I am thinking of calling the Orange Male 'Ion'. In chemistry a cation is a positively charged ion, and I know my girls will be attracted to him. Just not sure just yet though. The female calico I am thinking 'Halite'. Halite is the geologic name for salt. Well here are some photos.

I love her black nose

I love the white stash he has

Fishies

They have been here for 2 hours or so now and seem to be settling in. The female will hiss or growl at me from time to time but I know she is in a new environment. Currently she is asleep on a blanket in the floor. The male keeps after the fish. He just jumped up on top of the tank trying to figure out a way in. It is a full hood that covers the whole top of the tank so very little chance of him getting it open. If any chance.

Please fell free to suggest names.

Other names I an entertaining

Ramon and Noodle
Clark Kent and Linda Lee Danvers (who can tell me who they are)

OOH, they are gorgeous and so colorful
! Here's what comes to mind:

For the beautiful lady of colors: Cali (of course -- too predictable?!)/Callie, Neko (Japanese "Cat", and in Japan, the "three-color cat" is thought to bring good fortune), Autumn, Tawny

For the handsome gentleman: Lion, Leo, Tawny, Simba, Mufasa, Tiger

Thanks for sharing their photos with us -- you do have a very good-looking twosome there!

Oh, and let's see -- Clark Kent is Superman's alter ego, and Linda Lee Danvers must be Lois Lane's? Or someone else close to Superman? (I'm not too savvy on the pop culture)

Wow! You new family members are absolutely gorgeous.

They look really healthy and their colors are spectacular.
I will look forward to learning what you named your sweetie pies.

Congratulations

Two beautiful kitties! Looks like your orange boy is enjoying the fish.
I like Ion and Halite. Let us know how they're doing!

Ooooo I love the calico! She is very pretty with her black nose! Hmmm. I would name her Arora (sleeping beauty's name) and him Posiden because his mustash kind of looks like posiden's staff
too cute!

Clark Kent is, of course, Superman, and Linda Lee Danvers is the Pre-Crisis Supergirl!

What about Halcyon for the boy kitty? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halcyon

And Bast, Bastet, or Bubastis for the girl kitty?

Or course, there's always Kara and Kal-El. You could also name the boy kitty Streaky!

those are gorgeous new additions!!
The orange boy looks a lot like my Poseidon
or Posey for short

Hmmm, if you're interested in science names, I'd say Amber, Carbon, Bismuth, or Sulfur for the girl and there are lots for the boy too! Radon, Argon, Helium or Boron

they are adjusting little by little. The male jumped in my lap this morning and let me pet him for a brief second. She still hisses from time to time. Just taking my time and letting them adjust
