Legs weak?

After getting Beauty home from the animal hospital, I noticed one thing: all 4 legs are very weak. She's having a hard time walking and can't jump up onto anything too high, although she does try.

I was wondering if this is part of the side effect of being sick in an animal hospital for a week? Most likely she didn't get much exercise as she was on an IV.

Just curious. If she doesn't improve by Monday or Tuesday I'm definitely calling hte vet. However I was curious if anyone has noticed this before.

what was she hopitalized for, if you dont mind me asking?

I really don't think it would be as bad as you describe.

Shorty - she had a severe URI (upper respirotry infection). She was to the point that if she tried to eat, all her discharge put her into a sneezing fit when she bent over. So after a day or two of that, she completely stopped eating.

When she was at the animal hospital she was put on IV for the first 5 days. They had food in front of her, but she didn't start eating until the 6th day. Perhaps shes still just weak from not eating????

Well I guess I won't concern myself any more. Beauty came upstairs all by herself today

That is good news. She was really sick so it might have been left over weakness. I hope she continues to get better.
