The DNA evidence came back and the three boys in jail didn't match. However, one of the victims fathers did. Go figure.

I wonder how long it's going to take to get them out of jail.

I am familiar with this case - it's amazingly creepy, and we watched a documentary on it, where the father was probably one of the most evil, nasty, sick, demented, psychotic people I've ever seen. It was SO obvious it was him - and yet nobody wanted to know, and he kept getting away with the most outrageous things. I hope that he gets thrown away for life. He really gave me the creeps

Yeah, after reexamining the evidence the police found his hair in the rope used to tie up his son.

I live in Memphis (Bartlett- inside the same county) which is pretty close to West Memphis. I remember the day the whole thing happened -it was aweful I really think that the wrong people are being punished for this- i truely think the dad did it or was behind it in some way.

And I didn't realise until I went to the website that they've been in prison for 14 YEARS.

Well, one of them was sentenced to death. I believe he is awaiting his execution date. Yay for capital punishment, hey?

dont know enough to say one way or another.

i will say that after reading the first part, it sounds like there was a hugh rush to convict someone.

Yeah, apparently that was what the community `wanted'. But you should have seen this show we watched, Bruce. That father was the scariest thing imaginable. And his teeth marks were also in one of the victims. They were identified from records - records taken two years before his teeth miraculously happened to fall out due to `illness'.

They were also convicted on the eye witness testimony of a kid who was borderline mentally retarded. Oh, and when that kid asked for his parents the policy said, "Oh, you don't need them." He was interviewed for 18 hours.
