Hiya my cat has given birth to 1 kitten whilst i was out, I came home and there it was, her belly is still big and she's still panting and crying but ive been home for about 2 hours now and there's still not any more,

Do you think there will be anymore kittens or just the one?

It's pretty unlikely for a cat to have only one kitten. Please get her to a vet, especially considering she seems distressed, she could be having serious complications.

I'd contact the vet. Usually things are ok and only if the cat is in active labor and no results would you take her into the vet. I've had females go 2-3 hrs between a kitten. And most times the first couple come fast. Its the last one in there that seems to take the longest.

So it might be that she has only one other kitten in there and its farther up in the uterus.

Just back from the vet, the vet said theres still a couple of kittens in there, and that she has seen cats go a couple of days between kittens, so if she aint had anymore by 10.30am then it will be a c-section tomorrow

Before you spend the money on a C-section ask for oxytocin. It will help with the contractions, if she delivered one safely she should be able to deliver the rest. C-sections are very expensive and harder on mom
