Bengal in need of help!

this is a Craig'sList post i came across jsut now. i would LOVE to take the lil guy, but i am at compacity. is there anyone that can help? I dont want him falling into the wrong hands .

Most breeder contracts require that if the cat needs to be rehomed, that it be returned to the breeder.

I found the breeder's website and just sent them an urgent email with the link. I also emailed the poster and told them that the breeder has been notified.

I found a "Junglebeat Bengals" in Michigan but not one in Syracuse NY.

They may have moved, but as Junglebeat Bengals is trademarked, I'm going with the assumption that they are the same cattery.

Well, I just got an email from the poster, she wrote:

That's fine with me Betsey, since I contacted her myself. She has moved out of state, into an apartment. She could only take two of her cats with her, therefore could not take Zeus. She did offer to trade one of her two for Zeus (he is that special) but that would leave me in the same situation. It would have been nice if you had checked with me first, but I'm sure your motives were good.

So, I guess this poor boy remains in need of rescue. I HATE it when people post on Craig's list. I am not bothering to email this person back, because I would have nothing nice to say.

Well, the physical address of the place does not appear to be that of an apartment.
It also seems that her breeders number 16 total cats, so someone is lying.
Hopefully the breeder will get back to you.

The website has a last update of Updated on 6/14/2005 on the home page, so it could be true. But then again, on the kittens page it says the next litter is due in Fall of 2007. So who knows. Meanwhile, this poor Bengal will probably get taken in by someone that has NO CLUE what a Bengal is like, especially not an F3.

If you look at the kittens for sale, they are all 2007 babies.

That Craigslist posting has been removed. I wonder what she is going to do with the cat?

Well, the breeder hasn't responded to my email. So I just don't know. I tried.
