Ummmmm so is it a school for Wiccans, or a Wiccan school? Meaning, is it just like your everyday run of the mill school with math/biology/sports etc that only has Wiccan students so there is no adversity, or is it a school that TEACHES the way of the Goddess? If it's the first one then i'm hoping at least maths will be "how many toads does it take to change a light bulb?" Little bit of Wiccan humour there

Cute!

I'd be very intrested in attending, because it's hard to meet other Wiccans. Other than that if the school is for adults I have no idea why anyone would have an issue with it.

If it's just a school that teaches Wicca then nobody should have a problem with it because it's none of their business.

The Wiccan church I belong to has a school as well, but it is only Wiccan teachings and herbology.

The herbology classes would be very interesting to me. My dad teaches me about some of the herbs; it's a family tradition to pass down the knowledge. But the real knowledge was owned by my great-great grandfather who was a traditional healer ("medicine man") and he knew the important things like when and how the herbs should be harvested, and also the chants to be used to prepare them (a timing device?). It would be great to discover others who might still have this knowledge - the use of herbs is ordained in the Bible, but I've never known of a church that taught anything about the subject.

I don't think this is so. I think you may be perceiving this because atheists are usually disagreeing with YOU, but to an atheist, a Christian can come off as quite "angry" as well. It all depends on where you're coming from.

Disagreements about religion can very quickly escalate to rabid debates.

With regard to the meaning of the word pagan, it was invented by the christians and specifically means: One who is not a christian.

I'd worry about who really will attend the "school"
Its just as good a use as building a christian school or church with the money.

I think its a great idea, and wish him luck with it.
