Lucky is teething, she is really miserable, it is her canine teeth, on the left side top and bottom, she has her baby tooth, and adult tooth, both in at the same time. I tried to see if one is loose, but I am afraid I might, lost a finger, or perhaps and hand. Is there something I can do to help her? She isn't eating very much, she will only eat dry, I have tried all kinds of wet she won't touch it.

Get some of those fat, plastic straws and let her have a few to chew on. Don't try pulling out any of her teeth yourself. She'll be fine.

I'm assuming she is eating something - if not then you should call a vet as it may not be her teeth that is causing her not to eat. Cats can go into liver failure very quickly if they are not eating enough.

I find it interesting that she won't eat wet food and prefers dry if it's her teeth that are hurting.

I just gave her the straws, she is having great time with them, Lucky is eat some food just not as much as usual, she won't eat wet ever, when I was weaning her from a bottle, it took forever, because she will only eat dry

I took your suggestion with Cosmo, and can tell you, not only did he love
the straws and still carries them around (unless he is carrying a zanie or his white plastic spoon)! Also, my two older girls like to bat the straws around as well!
So, thanks for your suggestion! I was hoping that I would "stumble" across the TCS member who suggested that on another thread!

I cannot remember who suggested it to me but it worked wonders at our house too. Glad to be of help.
