Miracle Max will be flying into Boston from North Carolina on Friday afternoon!

Just 4 days until he gets here!

I am SO excited - I have Feliway diffusers set up in 3 out of 5 rooms to make the intros less stressful on all 4 cats, got a package of Royal Canin kitten kibble at the store just now, as at 8 months old this 10-11 pounder is still a growing boy (I was told that his grandfather cat was a 25 pounder!
) and other than setting up a water fountain in my bedroom for the short period of time that Max will be confined to one room, I'm all set for his arrival!

May I please get some TCS vibes that Max gets here safely, and that the intros are a piece of cake?

My biggest concern is how Ferris is going to react to becoming a big brother to a boy who will grow to be bigger than he is!

OMG - am I really going to be Meowmy to FOUR CATS?!?!
It's all TCS' fault, I tell you!!!

YAY...many safe travel vibes and many vibes for good intros I'm assuming you told your babies another one is coming

Mario is the biggest cat in the house now, and the boys have handled it very well...so Ferris will be okay I'm sure

Thanks for the vibes, everyone!
Helen, Ferris took our recent move the hardest - he is ULTRA territorial, and he took Penny's arrival worse than Ginger did (which really surprized me) so of course I'm the most worried about him.

And of course I have told them about Max!
I show them his picture every day and talk to Ferris about how it will be his responsibility to teach Max the ropes, because he's going to be a big brother now, and that's a really important position to have.

I have assured Ginger that she gets to stay Queen Bosscat, which she appreciates, and Penny just wants to know when is the new kid is going to get here so she can play with him, too.

ALWAYS glad to be of service to cats.
ALL THE BEST to you and your little furfamily.
I say "little" because, compared to nine, four is, well, small.

Ooo, you missed my announcement thread and there is a thread with pictures in Fur Pics, too! I think you need to do a search on Miracle Max.

Lots of safe travel and smooth intro Perhaps, now that Ferris has seen for himself that the arrival of new kids does not signal the end of the world, he'll be less upset by Max's arrival and be ready to do that important big brother job.

Im so excited for you!

Remember how Rosie accepted Jack soooooooo much quicker than she accepted Sophie. Hopefully, the 2nd time around for Ferris will be the same and that he now realizes that another kitty only means more cat toys and more cat trees

Im so excited that we are all going to get to see more of Max

I think it should be mandatory that all members of TCS should post pics of their kitties at least once monthly

MEGA vibes for Max to arrive calmly and to very smooth intros

Girl! are you adopting , or fostering? Miracle Max sounds like he's a
top executive, jet-setting around the globe and all!

I 'm sending intro
so everyone is on best behavior!
You might want to take a towel and rub the new kitties fur with it,
then without them noticing, rub the same towel on your cats fur,
they say this helps them accept one another, they will be able to
smell each others scent on them and when they meet face to face
they will be able to smell their own scent, so they don't feel threatened!
BEst Wishes!

Here's some for a great introduction.

I have to tell you everytime I hear "Miracle Max" I think of Billy Crystal's character in "The Princess Bride"

LOL, thanks for the advice, but as Max will be cat #4, and cat #2 was a feral rescue, I think I'm actually pretty good with the "how to" part of the intros!

I am adopting Max - you can read his story in The Cat Lounge, just do a search on "Miracle Max."

THREE MORE DAYS!!!!

I am driving into Boston to Logan Airport to retrieve him on Friday. I spoke to Continental Cargo yesterday, and they told me to shoot to arrive there at 5:30, but they also told me that he'll be coming in from Newark, and that almost always, the flights from there are delayed. Which is stinky, but I'll just bring a paperback book along so if there is a wait, it won't be TOO boring.

(And I, too, think of Billy Crystal's character in that movie and laugh about it - I loved that movie!)
