Yesterday I got the shock of my life.

I walked through my door after having been away on business for a few days and checked on the kitties... and.....

I blinked... once... twice....

KITTENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my youngest babies had been pregnant without me knowing! The vet had said she wasn't, but she must've concieved around the time I asked the vet.

I had been planning on getting her and my last un-desexed female de-sexed when I had the finances, ... but unfortunately one day, they accidently got out when I wasn't around.

well. when I walked in the door, she had, had her babies! I nearly died in shock. they're all healthy, all beautiful and she's doing well...

but the shocks never end do they?

I counted the babies. THERE ARE SEVEN!! My god, seven kittens... can you imagine???????

But now, I have another dilemia on my hands, because I think her sister is pregnant too, as If I diddn't know she was... then my other is most likely as well.

So at the moment, lucky me, I have my original thirteen cats, and seven newborns - making my total twenty. They really can call me the crazy cat lady, I'm just glad I can afford them all! lol

Whatever happens though, those kittens will have a loving home. I love my cats, and if I can't find a respectable home for each and every one of those kittens, they'll stay with me. I have the space, I have the cash, and I'm not a irresponsible pet owner, so they'll always be cared for.

Wow! That must have been a shock. Lets hope mum cat does well with so many babies!!!

How did you not know? Did you not have suspicions? I've heard that you can get her spayed whilst nursing, so long as she doesn't spend too much time away from them and her milk doesn't dry up.

Pictures soon please!!!

That was a shock. But how can you not tell a female is pregnant when having THAT many kittens inside?????

Up to you, but I'd go get the suspected pregnant cats spayed anyway. How old are the cats involved that may be pregnant?

I don't understand. At the beginning of the post you said

"I had been planning on getting her and my last un-desexed female de-sexed when I had the finances, ... but unfortunately one day, they accidently got out when I wasn't around."

But at the end of your post you said,

"Whatever happens though, those kittens will have a loving home. I love my cats, and if I can't find a respectable home for each and every one of those kittens, they'll stay with me. I have the space, I have the cash, and I'm not a irresponsible pet owner, so they'll always be cared for."

If you have the cash, please, please get your babies spayed.

I was also going to highlight that. Sounds self-contradictory. Did the OP suddenly win the lottery while away on business?

sorry all, I've been very busy the past few weeks. the babies are doing good, all are healthy, and they're absolutely adorable.

I'm thinking I'm crazy lol but I'll probably be keeping them all, because as I said in the past, my situation is perfect for it.

It seems fiting don't you think, since the mother is one of four siblings that I've kept together, and I have her mother and aunt as well. so three generations of kitties all kept together.

As the previous poster said, they are here and are lucky enough to have born into a home that they can be taken care of. How about a break here.
Sometimes things just happen no matter how careful you are.
