My sister took her ferret Shoops to the vet for a check up the other week and one of the vets felt tumors in his lymph nodes areas and set up an appointment for this week so he could get a biopsy done.

Well, he went yesterday morning for the procedure and a few hours later another vet called (there are about 6 in this clinic) and said it not tumors, just fat!!
So they did liposuction on him to remove it...can you believe that??

I was like..ooh maybe I can go to the vet too...I could use some liposuction myself!!

He is back home and seems to be doing well, he will be a bit sore for a few days though.

Maybe you could! It would be way cheaper than going to a human doctor to do the same thing!

That is so weird that it was just fatty tissue.....how strange, at least it was just that though!

Is it possible to have ferrets and cats together, or would the cat be too likely to think of the ferret as dinner?

What the?!?!

I have some chubby ferrets, but I've NEVER heard of them getting liposuction! That seems like a pretty cruel and unnecessary surgery!
Poor thing.

They should just let the ferret out of the cage more often, then it would lose weight.
