Why does my kitten lick my eyes?

Hey guys my kitten is an 11 week old male.. Why does he CONSTANTLY try and shove his tounge in my eyeballs?? Whenever I hold him or pet him that's all he wants to do is lick inside my eyes.. i will wake up in the middle of the night and he's standing ON my face licking my eyes...why does he do this?

I think it's because the skin on our eyelids is very close to the same texture/feel of their momma's teat's...it's a sign of missing their momma. Just my thoughts...

I don't have an answer for you, but when Ziggy was a kitten, she was obsessed with licking the front of my neck. She grew out of it, so hopefully your baby will too.

I'm going to say mutual grooming. He just wants to show his love...in a bit of an odd way.
And maybe there's a strange taste there?
