I was at the pet store today and I spotted a new food by Blue Spa/Blue Buffalo called Blue Wilderness. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a high quality food? I would assume so, since I think Blue Spa is. I bought the smallest bag to see if my boys liked it.

I've heard that Blue Buffalo is coming out with a grain free food - is that what you bought? Would you be willing to post the ingredients and guaranteed analysis? I am very curious about it - I haven't seen it yet.

IT is not grain free and VERY low in fiber .... I tallyed it and it came in actually only 3% less carbs than my current food and not as high in fatty acids and fat .... overall it IMHO is not a good choice... potato starch is the third ingrediant which means CARBS not the other goodies in potato

Sure thing!

Crude Protein 45%
Crude Fat 18%
Crude Fiber 1.6%
Moisture 8%
Ash 7%
Magnesium .1%
Taurine .15%
Omega 3 .15%
Omega 6 2%

It is lower carb, higher protein, was the claim on the package. It is lower carb than a lot of the dry foods I have seen.

Yikes Sharky! Just saw your post... glad I only bought the small bag, maybe I should return it. What would you recommend as a dry food? I have been feeding Blue Spa Indoor.

IMHO the new is better than the indoor ... which is alot higher than many in carbs ...

Ie indoor in many cases is light or nearly light

Crude Protein 45%
Crude Fat 18%
Crude Fiber 1.6%
Moisture 8%
Ash 7%

roughly 21 carbs ... I feed a 24 carb food ... many adults are around 25-30 ...

Yeah I am definitely trying to cut down on the carbs to get my guys (mainly just Amadeus) to lose a little weight.

use the bag of wilderness if they like ... but you may want just a adult formula

Potato starch is not really all that digestable ... while rice is
