With my month of horror movies coming to an end, I was thinking about doing another theme for November. I think I need some help.

So... choose, but choose wisely.

1. So bad it's good! This would include movies like Rocky Horror Picture Show, and The Apple.

2. Shhhhh.... Silent movies. Charlie Chaplin and such.

3. Is that Mickey? Animated movies!

I vote for the It's so bad it's good.
I like that theme.

Don't forget to include movies such as "Dude, Where's my car?"
That movie was so horrible, but I had to watch it until the end to find out what the heck they were being chased down for.

I guess #1 would include Attack of the Killer Tomatoes?

I was hoping MGM musicals was one of the choices.

Musicals are more of a winter thing for me. Nothing like watching My Fair Lady in the middle of a snow storm.

EDIT: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes would be a good choice.

Watching the robins sing!
I voted for silent movies - and be sure to include Mel Brooks' Silent Movie - it is so funny!
If you go with So Bad....try and watch Amazon Women On the Moon - I think that is a bit of a cult classic! I actually have it on VHS!!!
Actually I think it is currently available on On Demand!

while i voted for the 1st category, animated was my 2nd choice. there are so many good ones, nowadays - besides the classics, & the animated movie made for adults - Fantasia!

If you go for the "so bad it's good" category, you need to find a movie called "Brain Dead"... it's a really really bad Australian (I think) zombie movie. It's pretty hard to find though (I don't think it's even in the Internet Movie Database). Me and my brothers loved it when we were younger.

I would personally be curious to see a few Ed Wood movies.

She did see Brain Dead - in the US it is called Dead Alive.
And it is a New Zealand movie, made by Peter Jackson.

I voted for the so bad its good - I love the Rocky Horror and have met Richard O'Brien. Such a lovely man!

If I do the "So Good it's Bad" one I'll do Plan 9 From Outerspace.

It is not a bad movie, but it is so campy - but if you haven't seen it already, get "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' - I just LOVE that movie. Agent Smith from the Matrix as a drag queen - brilliant!

It looks like "So Bad it's Good" is winning, so that's what we are going to go with.

For next month you have reviews of the following to look forward to: Showgirls, Freddy Got Fingered, The Apple, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Barbarella, The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and Plan 9 from Outer Space.

On my honor, if these movies have adult themes I'll post a very edited version of my review.

I'm definitely all for the "so bad it's good" option. Watch Cry Baby. It's so very intentionally fromage/cheesy, and Johnny Depp was just poured into those jeans...

Oh my gosh... Showgirls? That's TOO bad for this category! That one's so bad it's just...

If you can find it, I'd like to recommend "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. Terwilliger," a movie that absolutely petrified me in my youth. I haven't seen it in many, many years, but I can promise you that it does achieve total badness and total bizarrosity...
