A few questions

So, I saw my kitty had tapeworms yesterday. I called the vet and they gave me a dewormer pill for it and I also purchased some Advantage. One question I have is, how soon after you give them a dewormer do the worms die/leave the body? The second question I have is, how long should I wait to give my cat a bath after applying Advantage? Thanks a bunch!

According to the Advantage information it "remains effective after swimming or shampooing" so I would think you could bathe your cat the following day. The tapeworm meds should work in the amount of time it takes to go through the cat's digestive system.

I was just curious because with my dog that has a flea allergy, I was told to use Advantage but not to wash her a few days before and not a few days after. I didn't know if it would be different for cats.

You could always call your Vet just to be sure.

Call the vet but most of the "waterproof" vet flea stuff needs about 48 hours before bathing

Follow the vet's instructions or if you don't have those, the instructions on each medicine. Why does your cat need a bath at all? Cats are self-cleaning!
