told he was neutered but he was not!!

AS you all know, i adopted my kitten Ernie several days ago. The shelter i got him from told me they did everything for him there. With the advise of all on here I took him for a check up at the vet just to form a relationship. well the vet says to me he is not neutered. He said it may be scar tissue but take him back and let them check him.....so I let my husband take him because I had school the night their vet was there.

Well of course the vet says she personally did it and its not possible, but low and behold when she checked..... he was not so they put him under and did it right then.

Well, now I am concerned about all his shots and tests. I am not sure he even got those now ....what should I do??

It almost sounds like they had his chart confused with another cat. I'd be concerned about the shots too. I wouldn't want to double vaccinate but what is the alternative? I would ask them to check their files to see if they can determine if they've switched a couple charts around.

Have blood titer tests done to check for vaccination antibodies.

I agree with Arlyn, do have antibody titer tests done. to you and Ernie.

Have titers done ... how old is he??
