October is Lupus Awareness month!

October is Lupus awareness month. I was diagnosed earlier this month, and wanted to provide a route for others to educate themselves!

Thank you for bringing this to attention - there is not enough knowledge by the public about this disease - the only way I learned about it is because I know some people who have it.

Yeah, same here. I researched it after my stepdad told me his first wife had it.

It is such a common disease, yet so few people have any knowledge of it. I certianly do now that I am living with it. . .It is such a strange disease. Alot of people assume there is nothing wrong with me because I dont look sick, but on the inside there are days that I feel horrible. . .

I just hope that one day, people will have a better understanding of the disease, and realize that stem cell research is bringing them close to a cure!
