I'm freaking out! Buster received his yearly vaccinations about 3 weeks ago. He's never had any negative reactions until this last time. For the first two days, he vomited and itched the spots like crazy. In fact, he created two bald spots at the site of the vaccination. Ultimately, the itching went away and the fur is starting to grow back. However, I checked it out today and the spots look very dark! I called the vet and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow morning. They couldn't say anything without seeing it directly. Anyone know what this could be? I am in tears because I fear it is dead tissue and I'm worried about the aftermath or procedure to remove it.

I just got back from the vet and everything's a-ok! The doctor checked out the dark spots and told me it was pigmentation. I guess the dark pigmentation gets released sometimes when there is excessive irritation. He said there is nothing to be concerned about. He said it would be an issue if there was a lump, which would signify sarcoma. Also, the skin is definitely not dead tissue because it didn't feel leathery or anything like that.
