The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
I left a bag of cashew nuts on the counter last week and I came into the kitchen to find Nismo eating them! She only had half a nut that day but another time I was eating them and she smelled them and clawed at the bag, so I gave her another half and she loved it!
At the weekend my Mum warned me that nuts are toxic for dogs, so I just want to check if this will do Nismo any harm? if so Ill obviously stop her eating them, but if they are ok then theres no problem with her eating one from time to time.

Keno and Charlie eat peanuts. I've never heard that nuts are bad for pets. I just would only give them a few - not a bagfull

Macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs, but not all nuts. Cashews are safe for dogs, and I've never heard that they are bad for cats. I would think as an occasional treat they are fine.

I didnt know any nuts were bad for dogs
My dog loves almonds.

If I get mixed nuts, my cats are all over there sniffing and licking and a few of them will take a nibble. I hope they are not toxic.

I'll stick to peanuts for them. I hate walnuts and cashews and LOVE machadamia nuts - they won't be getting any of mine

They list Macadamia nuts for both dogs & cats, plus Walnuts for dogs. Not cashews.
Interesting. I know a lot of people are allergic to Macadamia nuts, so it makes sense that they're bad for dogs and cats, too.

Pets seem to go after salted nuts and peanut butter (also salted).
