Of course I do! In German, yet, since that's how it was always said in our house growing up (my mom's grandmother was from Germany). And I say "excuse me" and "thank you" to the kitties, too!

I figure if our hearts "stop" when we sneeze, then theirs must too.

I think I've blessed the cats enough these past two weeks to exorcise this house if it were haunted

I do too. I once blessed a friend's dog when it sneezed and got some wierd looks from my friend. Then we cracked up. The dog didn't seem to notice.

I thought that this was a question about taking cats to church to be blessed on or about St. Francis' Day!

I don't; being stuffed into his carrier and taken to church with all the other animals (other cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, snakes, lizards, and God and St. Francis knows what else!) would be too traumatic. Instead I buy a packet of cat treats and take it to be blessed instead.

I don't, I ask them if they're ok or tell them to get their noses out of whatever was causing them to sneeze.
