Old wives tale on birds

I remember my mom telling me growing up that if a bird hits a window and leaves an imprint, then someone you know will die soon.

I came home today, whitey came down to greet me. He gets distracted as a bird flies by in the window behind me. I walked away, then heard:

THUD! SPLAT!

Only to turn around and see that Whitey had smacked himself against the window that was 2 feet up and fell. He quickly recovered....but I wonder what sort of wives tale there is if a cat leaves an imprint on the window That a bird will die???

That's funny! Sometimes they forget there is a window or screen there silly creatures!

Funny thing is, Whitey will probably do that again!

Yup he has

I think part of it is the last place had a lot of window ledges for his big butt to sit on. This place doesn't.

Then again where he keeps jumping I have a table resting next to the window
