I have just heard from Nate about the fun and games that went on while I was at work this morning and he was at home.
Apparently he was sitting at the computer minding his own business when suddenly one of the cats started screaming at the top of his lungs in pain, the sound was coming from the kitchen. Nate rushed out to see what had happened, fearing some awful accident, to find Radar with his paw in the top of the large pedal bin - and Sonic SITTING on the lid, trapping Radar's foot! Now Sonic is a hefty wee fella compared to Radar, I wouldn't want him trapping my fingers in the lid of the bin, it must have hurt - and Radar doesn't normally utter a sound, I mean you can step on him and he'll not even squeak.
Tbh, I got that bin to STOP Radar going in to sort through the rubbish, but I did say at the time that he'd probably manage it somehow, he's one of those cats and really nothing is safe once he's figured out how it works so I knew it was only a matter of time. He didn't bank on Sonic's fat backside though, he was caught red-pawed!
Fortunately there is no damage done, he's walking fine and there's no swelling. But I'm hoping that was his first and last attempt to raid that rubbish bin! I bet Sonic put him up to it, I can picture him egging Radar on to stick his paw under the lid and then jumping up on the lid quick
