There has been so much sadness here lately and I don't want to take away from others' stories, but I wanted to tell you what we did today. I bought a garden marker that says "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever". My husband, my 2 girls and I then went and bought a spruce tree and planted it next to Lyndsey's grave. I cried and cried, but I felt good for the first time. I know some others' have made scrapbooks and written poems and I want to do those things, too. In some way, it makes me feel closer to him.
So if you are hurting (and so many of us are), and when you can drag up the slightest bit of energy, try one of these things. I hope it helps.

Thank you for sharing Lyndsey's tree with us. I'm glad you are able to find a little comfort in it.

That is very inspiring. I think I'll plant my own Zorro tree, even though he isn't buried outside.
