I just happened to be bored and looked up cats meowing on the net and played it around our cats. It was so funny! All three of them went nuts when I played the distressed kitten meow! They ran around trying to find it and even scratched at my laptop!

You have to tell me what your cats do when you play this!

Caution, will make loud noise, don't play at work!

Noodles just looked up at the monitor...no big reaction here. But she is kinda keeping an eye on the monitor... Moochie is in the other room, probably sleeping.

Mine could care less, however, my dog has been searching the house upstairs and down, ears pricked, looking for the poor kitty.

Kitten doesn't sound distressed so much as really ticked off.

The kitties all ran around checking each other, they couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from! My dog Thunder, however, came right up to the laptop and poked it with his nose and then ran around whining.

I didn't like that sound. Poor kitty.
Lucky is searching the basement for another cat.

Luna got up came over. I picked her up and placed her on my lap, but she quickly hopped down when I played it again. She's being very lovey to me though

I tried something like this once, Sonic nearly took the computer speakers apart. I am daft enough to try it once, but not daft enough to give it a second go... the link will remain unclicked

I suppose I forgot to tell you the kitten sounds aweful
Probably looking for it's mom or got picked up...who knows. The site is from a guy who has an entire site devoted to his cats. In fact I would be surprized if he wasn't a member of TCS.

I forgot that dogs would also be worried about this sound
Animals are so funny. They don't know who is meowing or where buy they are so worried about the poor little thing.

Both my boys got alarmed when that started playing. They looked up at the computer, and then at each other, and then relaxed and wandered off.

I'm glad you posted about where that sound came from. It made me feel bad wondering what the heck they did to the poor cat to get that sound.

awww poor little Worm doesnt know what to do with himself. He jumped in my lap, gave the computer a crazy look, jumped down, ran away, did this like 3 times. He looked soooo scared. The purring cat was not something he liked, ran down the hallway. Kricket just ran over, sat under the table and tried to calm Worm down. Awww he still has the worry look on his face and is afraid to come near the computer.

Chynna is on my desk and she slept right through it.

Abby is in my office chair next to me and she jumped up, looked around and settled back down again. Now she's tapping me on the leg wanting pets!

There is also some on ATT cell phone ringtones that you can hear. There are two or three of them and 1 is like that upset meow, Abby didn't like that one at all. But the other one got him going...kept us entertained as well as him. Play each one before you let the kitty hear it.

The first one made me jump and scared Chester! He was half way out of the room before I could shut it off.

When I played the purring he came right over like he wanted to be pet.

I went to the website, and played more of the kitten sounds in addition to the distressed kitten, and now I have two very worried cats that will not leave me or my keyboard alone.

Kitty was snoozing on the sofa but he woke up and was staring at the computer with big black eyes. Probably thought he was having a nightmare
