Transformers!

I am possibly one of the biggest Transformers fans on the planet. I even have a Decepticon symbol tattoo on my right shoulder. I have a real love/hate relationship with the Michael Bay movie because I am a huge G1 purist. On the one hand, I'm happy that at least Transformers are back in the spotlight, but on the other hand the movie is dissappointing on many levels to G1 fans. I think the good outweighs the bad though and of course I still bought the DVD on Tuesday.

Fun fact: My username is actually a combination of my favorite villain (Megatron), and my actual first name (Gene).

I understand where you are coming from in regards to being a G1 purist. I have similar feelings regarding Peter Jackson and The Lord of the Rings movies.

Omg, omg, omg!!! I just saw it last night. It was so bleepin awesome. Bumble bee is my favorite transformer. I used to have a crush on the cartoon Bumble bee when I was a little girl.

We rented it last night- it was really good!

We bought it tonight and just finished watching. Anyone see the "beginnings"?

I've been collecting some of the Transformers toys since 1985 to recently, I love them! So I just had to see the movie and it was great! I already heard they are making Transformers 2.

I heard it's actually going to be 3.. not sure though

I think they have started production on TF2 and that it won't be out until 2009. My brother has been a huge fan of TF since he was very little and he was showing me a site with some spoliers for the next movie. I don't know how reliable any of the so-called "leaked" information is but some of the characters in the next movie will include:
Soundwave
Starscream (and probably many of the other Decepticon "jets"). From the spoiler I read it lead me to speculate on perhaps the Combaticons as well. Supposedly Starscream goes rogue in the next film and leads his own group of Decepticons.
Megatron will be revived by Soundwave
Long Haul, Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Hook, Mixmaster, Scavenger- The Constructicons who merge together to form the huge Decepticon robot Devastator.
Ultra Magnus- He's similar to Prime but transforms into a car hauler.
There was a rumor of the Dinobots.
Hot Rod
I can't remember who else was listed.

I didn't know it was gunna be 3!?!? My bf and I bought it on HD DVD and we saw it at IMAX a few weeks back it was by far better than I was giving it credit for.
