I am going to possibly get a dog to keep the cats company!! Well, keep Pepper company more than Petunia-- Petunia would probably rather be an only kitty about half of the time. I was talking to 1 of my friend's at work and she is a beagle breeder. A VERY good beagle breeder at that and she has 3 dogs that she is trying to adopt out. 2 of them are 6 year old girls and she has a 4 year old boy. I am going to try out 1 of the 6 year old girls. I am so excited!!! I am going to take her next Monday through Thursday and have a trial run with her. I am not sure if I am home enough and don't want to be unfair to her. She lives with 6 cats right now, ages ranging from 8-10 weeks to 14(?) years old. I am not too concerned with her getting along with the cats because of that, but I am concerned with the cats getting along with her. That's another reason for the trial run. The cats were here first so they get priority consideration.

We hope she gets along with your kitties

Vibes for a good trial run and a happy adoption! That would be so much fun for you to get one. My fingers are crossed

I like beagles but they howl a little too much. Are they the smaller or taller beagles? And make sure you don't just let them out in the yard unless its fenced. If they pick up a trail (rabbit, etc.) you will NOT see them!

And beagles are notorious diggers too so keep that in mind in your yard

She is 12.5 inches at the shoulder and my friend told me she is fairly quiet. Part of the reason that I wanted her is because she is so small. I don't have a yard so I will be walking her on a leash most of the time. I am really excited!!
