So I go to a dentist for the first time in about 4 years because I had this little notch developing at the base of one of my teeth. So he does this super in depth first time patient thing with x-rays and probing and electronic detectors and what not, and then tells me "well, you could use a bit of a cleaning, and you have 3 or so tiny cavities, but overall your teeth are in pretty amazing condition for not having seen a dentist in 4 years". And then I goes "what about this 2mm notch in my tooth?", and he goes "oh that? quit brushing so hard". About the last thing I expected him to say.
