I don't like to be called by it (as one of my school friends insisted on doing
) but I like HAVING it -- it's my Mum's.

Yes, i like mine just fine.
That's what I normally go by too. My full name is Lydia Nichole. When I danced there were two other Lydia's at my studio (weird!), so i started going by Nichole and Nikki. It just kind of stuck.

Not really
But I guess I'd rather be called by my middle name than my first, cause I can't stand it either!!

Eh, its not so bad-- its a family name, so if I ever have a girl, she's getting it too!

I come from a family where the tradition is to use names from family members as middle names for your children. We all also have two middle names. I was lucky because mine aren't to bad, I have Karen, Kristine,
after my mother's twin sisters. My sister however got the very worse names on the planet, she is named after both my parents grandmothers and her's is
Hilda, Inez...
and if she ever fines out I posted it on the internet I am one dead cookie..

Yep same here Lynn, it's such a common middle name, along with Ann which is my sisters middle name.

That's pretty bad, but not as bad as my fiance's middle name- his middle name is Wingate
and his brother's middle name is Baldwin.

My middle name is Ellen. I absolutely hate it, but it is family tradition-- the oldest daughter gets the mother's middle name. At least I am not the only one saddled with the name!!

Not a fan of Kristine, but I'm slowly accepting my first name (Angela).

My father wanted me to be Krystal Kristine (keep in mind here, my last name also starts with a K...) but thankfully my mother nixed that idea.

Knew two girls once who had the same middle names... all 15 of them... They were named after every female relative. Eek!

I don't dislike it but Marie isn't what I would have chosen for myself.

I don't mind it so much, my brothers and sisters have always called me by first and middle name. (Paula Jean)
