Good to know that they've been spotted! (This is the first time I've seen this thread, sorry). I sure hope that they can be trapped and returned to the shelter. Those poor babies!
Just got a wonderful update on the female cat, Misty. She was trapped overnight near the home of the people that have been putting on food for her and Mikey. Misty has lost some weight, but seems in good health otherwise. This is miracle considering she and Mikey and have been on their own (without their front claws) for almost three months. The rescue reports that she's very calm and seems relieved that the ordeal is over. Misty has allowed the volunteers to hold her and has purred for them. She'll be going to the vet today, then back to her foster home. The family who's been feeding her and Mikey has expressed an interest in adopting her, but that option will be explored later.
The first priority now is trapping Mikey. Please keep the vibes/prayers coming that he can be trapped soon and reunited with his sister. Many thanks!
Those poor babies! They must have been terrified. They have every reason to be leary of humans now, but hopefully they will find Mikey now. We can all hope for a Christmas Miracle for one little kitty.
