I am so happy to post this update!!! This past Thursday marked one full month in the ICU for him, but as of yesterday he is off the vent!
We are so happy! He is still in ICU for now, but should be moved to a room sometime this week we think. Right now he is hooked up to a CPAP machine just in case, but they turned that completely off 3 times today and he breathed just fine on his own. Another couple of days doing that and they should be able to turn it off for good!!
He's doing really great and has even started bossing the doctors around!!
His nurse told us yesterday that one of his doctors came in and started yacking at him while he was sleeping and that Papa simply opened his eyes, put his finger to his mouth and said "shhhh" then closed his eyes and went back to sleep!
All the nurses got a big kick out of that!
Thank you all so much again for the prayers, vibes and e-wells (which he loved!!) Hopefully he'll get to come home in a couple of weeks!!
