some people brought in 3 kittens that they thought were "abandoned", but the mother was probably just gone for the moment :/. anyways, they thought they were helping, but they weren't. we took one of the kittens to help raise it, since no foster mothers are available, and it absolutely refuses to eat. sometimes we can get some into it, but right now it's under-eating by a lot, it refuses to. anyone know what might be wrong, or what we could do? we are putting it on a towel on its' stomach while we feed it, and it is pooping and stuff just fine (only when we manage to get it to eat). we are going to try a small syringe instead of the nipple on the bottle, hopefully it will work. the kitten is about 4-5 days old.

sometimes the bottle is too hard for the kitten... i had that problem, i used a syringe, and it helps to get more into the kittens mouth. right now its not used to the kitten formula. soon it will develop a taste for it hopefully. put a couple of drops into the kittens mouth, be sure not to force it and im sure it will realize its food and want more. do you know how old it is?

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll close this thread now. When you feel up to it, perhaps you could start a thread in our Crossing the Bridge forum so we can all pay tribute to him?

RIP little kitten.
