Cats and clothes

Rowdy seems to think that I need her assistance, with getting dressed, each morning. It is my habit to toss socks, underwear and bra on the bed, as I pull them out of dresser drawers. Of course, Rowdy is sitting on the bed, supervising my choices.

She starts with grabbing my underwear and running off with it. Once I retrieve that, she goes for the bra. This she doesn't run off with - she rolls around and wraps herself in it. I have tried to explain to her that it is MUCH too large, for her and has only two cups! However, she persists in trying to play "dress up".

Never having a human daughter, I thought that I had avoided someone "borrowing" my clothes. Obviously, I was mistaken.:LOL:

Ah, these young girls! They all want to look like Mommy! Actually, I never met a cat of either sex who could resist playing with the straps on a bra!

My girls can't resist snagging my pantyhose as I put them on! It drives me crazy! I have to do a under bed check before I put them on.

The rare times, that I wear stockings, I shut everyone out of the bedroom.

Rowdy seems to be fascinated by underwear, though. Bill drops his on the bathroom floor, when he takes a shower and Rowdy jumps into them and rolls around.

Berkley is not really into clothes but I can't put on makeup without her jumping on the bathroom sink and begging for some of her own. It has become routine for her to get brushed and "dolled" up when I am doing the same. I tell her what a pretty girl she is and she purrs in response!
Next she'll be picking out outfits to wear!

Cooper LOVES panythoes..... she has never snagged them with her nails, she likes to lick them!

Snowball seems to think any article of clothing left lying on a chair or bed was put there just for his personal comfort. If he happens to find clothing hanging on a doorknob he pulls it to the floor and is sleeping on it in about two minutes.

Rowdy rolling in the underwear!!! I just about fell out of my chair at the thought of it!

Ed likes to hop up on the vanity to get a little powder now and then. I don't think he realizes it's not all that manly!

Fitz love to steal my bra and helps me comb my hair in the morning. As soon as I get the comb out, he jumps on my back to help by licking the water off my hair. Little Weirdo!

Bill dropped his jeans on the bathroom floor, one night and Rowdy burrowed into them. She got 3/4 of the way down one leg, before she couldn't get any farther.

For some reason, she goes for my clean clothes and for Bill's dirty work clothes. Must be something about grease and diesel fuel, that attracts her.

Both cats like to sleep on our robes. Bill's is thick, soft terry cloth and mine is fleece.

Fred has always loved leather jackets. If left unattended, he will burrow down into the sleeves as far as he can. Our boss came over last night wearing one, and Fred tried to crawl inside it. First, Fred jumped in his lap and gave him wet, sloppy kitty kisses. When he couldn't get inside the jacket, Fred plopped down in his lap and turned belly up. While he thought no one was paying attention, he tried to wiggle in the poor guy's jacket from his lap. Good thing he likes cats. He has known Fred for years, and know he is old and goofy, so he just pets him, but no jacket!

:laughing: Kitties are too funny sometimes. Socks has a thing for clean clothes that come fresh out of the dryer. He will do anything to get into the laundry bag with the warm clean clothes. As soon as I set the bag down on the floor he climbs right in and all I can see is his little head peeking out. :laughing: Then he thinks he is a helper when he grabs socks and underwear from my hand when I'm trying to fold the laundry.
