If this would be a REAL supply and demand situation, they'd raise the price for the dancing cows.

I think it's kinda funny. we don't even have real money to play with and everything is still sold out. I didn't even know we had new gifts. I just wanted to send one.

And aren't we all typical consumers, complaining when a "store" runs out of what we want!

The early bird gets, not the worm, but a cow.

They must re-stock during the night.
Come on site early in the morning when there are lots of available gifts.

Tim got another cow.

Moo!

Lei, are you sure you aren't hiding a bull somewhere in your collection of gifts? Your dancing cows seems to be multiplying like, well, err........rabbits?

Ya, we're gonna need a Border Collie gift to keep all these cows under control!

Thank goodness they are virtual cows because the manure would be getting deep!

You know, there's still one thing about this "out of stock" business that bugs me -- you can't even get into the store to buy ONE thing; you just get the "out of stock" message and that's it. Certainly they can't run out of everything. I think the programming for this feature needs to be changed. I'd just as soon eliminate it and let everybody buy as much as they want, but if they want to limit the items sold, then there should be a separate limit and a separate out of stock status for each item. Then if you went to buy somebody something and the store was out of stock on that item, you'd be able to choose somethiing else instead. That would be more like real life which is the only rationale I can think of for having this limitation anyway.

I agree, but the problem is that the designer didn't conceive it that way. For a long time, vPlaza was "dead", meaning not updated at all. At least we can add gifts now.

Can't vBulletin code be modified? phpBB forum code can be modified to add/change features.

You're asking a computer idiot that question! The store is now being replenished at frequent intervals, so I assume one of the administrators has already changed the settings. There usually isn't a problem, but this temporary "cow craze" has overtaxed vPlaza.
