I checked out a great cookbook from the library called Roadfood Sandwiches-I'm gonna have to buy this book!!
Is has recipes for various types of sandwiches from mom and pop type places across the US
So it got me thinking... want are some of you favorite types of sandwiches or other food items specific to the area you live??? Not the chain food stuff (unless its a chain local to your area???)
In Wisconsin we have "brats" (bratwurst) which know come in various flavours than just pork or beef-like pizza, onion, cajun etc.....
The best come from smaller butcher shops which everyone has their preferences. Of course you have to have some cheese curds freshly made
of course-this is cheese that hasn't been pressed into blocks yet. Beer batter deep fried the absolute best!!
What do I have to try in your area?????
