One of our ferals was hit by a car & killed a few weeks ago...we didn't know she was pregnant, but we found 3 kittens a few days after she was killed.

I have been bottle feeding them and they have done great. I guess them to be about five weeks.. they are just starting to eat canned iams kitten food..but they still definately like the bottle too... I am currently giving them one bottle in the middle of the day with 1/2 can in the morning and 1/2 a can at night..

is that the best way to do this?

I've had Blossom from 3 weeks old & kept her on a bottle until about that age, although the vet told me to introduce solids from the beginning. She didn't particularly like the bottle but it kept her going. It was hard work trying to get her to eat solid food but we eventually got there. Look on www.kitten-rescue.com website & it will give you all the stages of kittens up to eight weeks including weaning. I wish I had found it before Blossom had gotten to that age.
