I am so miserable and sick!!!!!

I have had this horrible infection in my jaw from a tooth that has been giving me trouble for a while! Missed fri. from work and meds prescribed on Friday doing nothing! I have been dizzy, can't eat, fever, and extreme pain! Just need some soothing I guess, so much pain!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention I am starving but can't eat!

Aww poor thing *hugs* can you on the other side at least sip on fluids like water and soup? You might have to go to the dentist if the meds aren't working, then it may need to be removed or cleaned out.

Thank you, thank you so much! It has been a lonely bed-ridden 4 days of pain and fever...............You are right, I find out tomorrow what is going on, I am afraid I mighty need oral surgery!!!!!!

If it's settled in that badly you may need to be admitted to the hospital and/or end up on IV antibiotics for a few days.
Don't put off getting rid of it, that can settle elsewhere in your body and be very serious. Good luck, and if it does take surgery or even a hospital stay, I hope you can have a speedy recovery.

Have you seen a dentist? Tooth infection is nothing to mess with. I had to go to the ER for an infection that actually pushed the tooth out from the root up. I was almost septic (is that what it's called when your system is poisoned?). I had to go on major antibiotics before the dentist would go in and remove a few other teeth that needed to come out too. They told me at the ER if I had waited another day I probably would have had to be admitted and go on IV therapy.

In the mean time, you need to keep your strength up. If you can't actually chew, drink lots of soups (even if it is at lukewarm temp instead of hot).

Ouch. I hate tooth pain. I had such a bad tooth that it was making one whole side of my mouth throb so I went to the dentist and had to get a root canal. That tooth had hurt for about 4 months and I finally got the root canal last Thursday. It feels sooo much better now.

Yes, we're not trying to scare you but no infection should be taken lightly. Some infections can kill you. Yours sounds pretty serious already, so I'd go to the doctor. NOW! Keep us posted.

I also agree. Please get it taken care of as the infection can travel from your jaw down into your chest cavity.
