The vet put Bickford on a diet and prescribed Purina OM wet and Hill's w/d dry. He likes the dry but won't touch the wet food - any suggestions? Other than just let him be fat (which I got from a family member).

ask the vet if either lowfat/lite/light wet s OTC may work or if Low carb high protein ( evo , wellness grain free) would be better .// also ask about other RX brands ..

My Buster was prescribed I/D wet and dry and he dislikes the wet food too. My new holistic vet told me that Prescription Diet foods are very bland and most cats don't like it. This is compounded by the fact that Prescription Diet foods only comes in one flavor. I then decided to switch to Wellness wet food because it is grain-free and is available in multiple varieties. The traditional vet disagreed with me but he makes a profit from selling it at the clinic. The holistic vet doesn't endorse any one product but told me that Wellness was an adequate substitute.
