Thinking of getting a fountain...

Do you know what is available in the UK at a decent price?

Also, how are they powered? Do you have to plug it in, or is it battery operated?

Very new to fountains....

Any suggestions are welcome

I'm in the US so I don't know what you have available. From what I've learned, there are three popular types: Petmate, Drinkwell and CatIT. They all need to be plugged in. I got the Petmate Deluxe and my kitty loves it. It has a ramp where the water runs down into a pool of water. It's the most similar to a bowl of water so that's why I got it. My cat doesn't like change so I figured this wouldn't scare her..the other models would. But if your cat likes to drink from the sink then the Drinkwell or CatIT might be a better choice. HTH
