DRM, or Digital Rights Management, has been the bane of the online Music Downloads industry. People just weren't happy paying for music that only works on 1 or 2 players, could only be used on 2 or 3 pre-identified computers, or what other restrictions they chose to put on the songs.
Amazon.com has launched their brand new, still in Beta, DRM free Music store. The songs are in the good ole' MP3 format, and will play on any MP3 player, can be burned to CD, put on backup hard drives, yada yada yada.
This is what I've been waiting for. I've never like the idea of being a music pirate, don't like paying for music that I can barely use, and think that file-sharing software is full of cooties
