I just got my kitties fixed.
Is it all right to give them cat-nip?
I never had a female cat fixed before. She has stomache staples right now. Is is all right if she plays a lot, or could they come undone, which would be a huge emergancy??

Got them back yesterday from the vet. He didn't give any instuctions, just said that the female may be tierd.
But it seems like she really wants to play, just like usuasl. She plays like mad!
The male is also playing like mad, but he's fine
However, he did puke in my room today. Typical pastime for him (always in MY room.)I've given him cat grass, and he eats it all, but he still loves to puke in my room. I supose he'll be all right by now though.
Funny thing was that the male kitty, Oreo, is real good friends with Stripe, the all-ready nuetered adult cat. However, Stripe was hissing at Oreo when we brought him home! But now he loves him again

Shadow continues to hide 90% of the day. She's still well enough to run away from me.

Is it all right if I drag her out from under the bed, like I always have to? I hope I'm not being 2 rough with her.

Sarah,

Please let your kitty rest. She should be in a room by herself where it is dark and quiet. She needs to recover. Do not drag her out to play she just had surgery. They typically need a few days to rebound, the males rebound quicker because it is a less intrusive surgery. She will play again, just not right now, and maybe not for a few days.

The thing is, she wants to play. I'm not forcing her to. She is resting, but nothing unuasual.
If it weren't for the fact that she's missing like 2/3rds of her fur and has 2 visable stiches on her stomache, you'd never guess she came from surgary.
Heck, their personalities havn't changed a bit, and I felt so guilty when they were sniffing around their empty food-bowl yesterday! I fed em eventually, later that night and other then one of them vomiting it back up, they are fine.

You need to feed them small amounts, typically 1/3 of what they normally eat until the drugs get out of their system. Again, let her rest.

I agree with Hissy, the cat needs to be left alone for now. She has just had surgery and her instincts are telling her to find a nice quiet place where she can rest and recover.
