I hope that everthing turns out ok for you and Isaac and baby Ron. Hopefully you will be able to find a wonderful doctor that can cure this disease.

Issac went to the doctors and is scheduled to have a biopsy performed on Thursday of next week. Anne says thanks to the Internet, her and Issac now know more about this disease then the doctors in her country! The problem is, the drug that they need to get Issac better is not available in Israel, so they need to reach out to two places and talk to the doctors who are Wilson Experts and get this drug for Issac. The drug is costly $300.00 a month! There is a drug similiar to it in her country, but the side effects are the worse, so it is no longer the treatment of choice, which is why Issac has not been treated with it before. Apparently, he has been manifesting symptoms since he was 14 years old! So the doctor was reluctant to prescribe it until he was 100% sure it was Wilson's Disease. Which, he is now convinced it is, and the biopsy will confirm this diagnosis.

Then Anne will need to use FedEx and get the medicine for her husband and get him started on it quickly. She is also going to contact online prescription sites and find out if they can help her get the drug quickly and cheaper. She is going to write two places and hopefully hook up with doctors there Mt. Sinai and Michigan University appear to be the two leaders in this disease.

That's what I know, and I also know that if she could, she would surf in here and thank all of you for your prayers and good thoughts!

Also,on a side note she is getting ready to FedEx Cat Fancy tomorrow with photos of the cats at the shelter. She has been emailed interviewed for the article and The Phoenix Fund now has $546.00 donated towards the cats of Israel. So thanks to all of you from her!
She sends her best and will try and check in later if she can-

I think many people take it for granted to be healthy, in a non-war torn country, and have medical care and drugs available at anytime.

Of course my most positive thoughts go out to Anne and family. Thank goodness for the internet and the info and resources that are now available to her.

Keep it positive and take it one day at a time!

Thank you so much everyone for your prayers and good wishes! And than you Mary Anne for posting this for me.

I'm afraid I have little time now - I don't have any time to do any work. When I'm not with baby Ron, I'm working with hubby of getting medical opinions and trying to work out a way in which to get those medicines. The main obstacle right now is the drug import regulations over here

I am touched by you all! Thank you!

Quick update:

They have found a doctor (the leading specialist) in this field in the United States that will do email consultations with Issac and not charge him! All he asks is that a donation be made to the Wilson Foundation in lieu of payment. He also gave Anne a couple names of doctors in her country well-versed in this disease. Issac is scheduled for his biopsy on the 23rd of Jan. The only drawback is the results won't be back for 2-3 months.
