Last year when I rescued my stray kitten, after all his vaccinations and health checks I put Advantage topical solution on him. He had a bad reaction, with oily drippy fur around his neck and then a few weeks later he displayed a scab on the spot where I put the solution.

I have a vet appointment next week to have his vaccinations done, and will ask about a flea killer that won't hurt him again. I haven't found any fleas, but my brother said he had one jump on him recently.

Wondering if anyone has a suggestion, or has had a cat react to Advantage.

I mentioned in my post that he had a reaction last year at this time. I had him checked then and he is OK now. I have not used flea killer on him since then.
