Concord Grape Pie.

I just tried a new recipe for Concord Grape Pie and it is so fantastic.

It is very easy to make.

Concord or Red Grape Juice, 2 cups.
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup corn starch.
1 premade pie crust ( you can make your own if you have time)

Mix the juice, sugar, and cream together and slowly bring to a boil.

Add 3tablespoons of juice mixture to make a paste with the corn starch to thicken remaining mixture.

Poor warm liquid into pie shell and set aside to cool. When the pie is cool garnish with cool whip.

If you like grape you will love this pie.

a friends mother used to make grape pie it was very good.

My mom says Grandma used to make Concord grape pie, but she used the whole grapes! (De-seeded, of course.) It was a little like cherry, Mom says, but lighter in flavor.

For some reason, Grandma stopped making it before I came along... but by golly, I'll have to make one and see what it was like!

I would have never thought about a grape pie but that sounds yummy! I love grape flavor.

Oh that sounds gooooood! I'd like to try it with whole grapes too.

I've had Grape Pie before, made with Grapes (the purple ones) its OOOOH sooooo GOOOOOD....

What is a concord grape? Is that like a blackcurrant?

That can explain them better. They are tasty! I like them right off the vine!

Hmmm....I will have to find out what kind of grapes we have here - my parents have a vine. Sorry to hijack, but is it easy to make grape jelly? My hubby misses it and we don't provide it here.

My friend's mother used to make it when we were kids. I don't know how to myself though.
